WHAT WILL WE DO?

First, Let’s talk – You need to find out if you like talking with me and if you trust me. I want to answer whatever questions you have about the coaching process. We can talk about purpose, schedules, goals, and costs.

After we talk about your questions, I want to give you a free coaching appointment so you experience the coaching process. We can do this in person if you are in the Shreveport-Bossier City area, or over the telephone, where most coaching is conducted.

I will send you a copy of the coaching agreement, with policies and costs in writing. Then you decide what you would like to do.

The formal coaching process:

Before our first formal “fee-based” call, I will ask you to fill out a personal information form. This information on your goals, values, current status, and perceived obstacles will give me an introduction to you and put us ahead on our first call.

The coaching appointment may be face to face or over the phone and will normally last 50 minutes to an hour, typically 2 to 3 times a month. In that call, I will partner with you to clarify your vision and values, create a focus, dialog about possibilities, then move toward needed action steps. I serve as an accountability partner and make observations about mismatches in your actions compared to your values. Also, I may give you a stretch request if I see you could be moving more quickly. I encourage appropriate risk taking.

We will talk about what keeps you motivated. Most people don’t need more information. They need more motivation.

At other times in the month, we may communicate briefly on emails or “spot calls” with short discussions and clarifications.
